This is a standard yoga block. I’m not exactly sure what to say other than it does a good job of being a yoga block. It is very block-like and equally yoga-like. If you are looking for a yoga block, this one will certainly do the job. Read more

I ordered this block online on Amazon because I already have a Gaiam block in the gray color that I’ve bought together with a strap a couple of months ago and I wanted to get another block so I could have two blocks for my yoga practice. I bought the Storm Gray block and once it arrived in my house I realized that this block looks like it’s fake, it’s not original. My original Gaiam block has the logo on one side of the block, the block that I just purchased here has the logo on both sides and the logo looks different than the original. The color is also different than the original one that I have from Gaiam. The corners of the block seem to be cut unevenly as well. I will return this block if I can. Read more

I got this block because I wanted a firmer block than the one I picked up at a discount store. Well, this block had dents on it as soon as I pressed it with my fingers. Its not sturdy at all and the material doesn’t feel high quality. Furthermore, it smelled of plastic / chemicals as soon as I opened it. Unfortunately, I waited until after the return window had closed to check on this item. I wish Amazon would do something about fake products. Read more

I’m still in the beginning stages of learning yoga and needed a block for some of the poses. I’m 230 pounds and this block has no problem handling my weight. I had one block purchased over 10 years ago and just recently purchased another one and they look exactly the same, so the quality is still there. I have arthritis and I sit on one of these during some of the poses to elevate my knees some and it’s helps a lot. Read more

It took about 2 weeks to receive. They were shipped in separate envelopes oddly enough. I ordered these because they were on Amazon’s top pick list of best yoga blocks. Based on their review, I felt they were perfect for my begginer Hatha and Yin yoga. At first sight, they looked fine. They were shrink-wrapped and had the brand’s hard plastic packaging. As soon as I unwrapped them I noticed the slight burnt foam smell and the cosmetic dents and scratches. There also seemed to be 3-4 small fingertip indentations on the corner of one. It’s clear from the dents and scratches that they are not very sturdy or as firm as I expected for them to be. I figured no biggie, I can still make use of them, since I’ve been in need for them. Figure, they are bound to get scuffed up anyway. Then I noticed one block was a tiny by shorter than the other on the long side; and when placed side by side on the short ends, I could see the blocks were cut slightly uneven at a slope if you will. It is more apparent on one of its edges. So not so great at stability, since they wobble a bit due to the uneven cut. End of the day, I am not sure if these are knock-offs or just poor quality control from Gaiam Yoga factory. Either way, they are poor quality product. At $7 each, you get what you pay for, I guess. Only pros I can give it, is that the colors are pretty, and the plastic packaging was high quality. I rather just cut my losses, than trying to return them. Will be too much of a hassle, not worth my time. Read more

Disappointed. I ordered 2 “Storm Grey” blocks within 24 hours on Aug 9th and 10th. The 1st block took a month to arrive. The 2nd block took 15 days to arrive. The two are different color shades and slightly different in height and width. I am a Colorist and understand colors will vary from lot to lot and will vary even more from factory to factory, but one of these blocks is way off from Storm Grey. When colors are out of tolerance, manufacturers usually try to allocate same color shades to same retailers. I can understand that it took a month to arrive, because we are in a global pandemic, and I also understand the need to produce any way they can, but the two I received should have been from the same lot or close in color. Also, one of the blocks arrived with some defects. Read more

We cut ours in half to use for hip alignment when they are misaligned, which we were taught how to do it by our PT. They can also be used when cut in half, to sleep on them with one under each hip, BUT you need to make sure to angle them correctly to match your misalignment. I WOULD purchase this again. Read more

Gaiam does it again! They create such good products; I have two mats from Gaiam, and when I started incorporating blocks into my practice at the studio, I looked for blocks that I could use at home as well. I shopped around (as most people do), and still decided to go with these because of their excellent design and build. They’re the right size for anyone to use, they’re very sturdy, and the green color is joyful to me. I highly suggest, if you’re looking to start a yoga practice, or your needs have changed, that you get the blocks by Gaiam. I shop around, but I always come back to them because they make the best stuff, and these blocks are no exception. Read more
