I was really looking forward to using these gloves. The fit and finish was very nice. The color is a little lighter than the display pictures.I used the gloves twice for light sparring sessions when I noticed a problem with one of the seems. It was tearing a little bit and becoming undone. I thought this couldn’t be normal, it must be a manufacturer defect. I’ve had gloves from Everlast to Title to Cleto Reyes and put them through months of abuse and none had done this. I’ve included a picture of the seam.At this point I was still within my 30-day return window, so I emailed Ringside, or Combat Sports the owners of Ringside, asking if this was something they could repair or if I should just return them to Amazon. The email train then took several weeks, Ringside taking days to respond and then even closing the RMA without supplying any reason. They then stated because I had not ordered the gloves directly and I did not have an order number I could not return the gloves. Ringside completely failed to stand behind their product and fix an obvious defect with the glove. While the color is nice and these gloves seem solidly made I would recommend people avoid them or purchasing anything from Ringside / Combat sports. They fail to back up their products and their customer service is horrid.Read more

Top of the line , this full-leather gloves seems that will stay a while with me.Excellent wrist protection makes you feel safer to give and take harder punches while sparring and the vintage style impresses everyone around themA little bit heavy to do mitts, but that can be good because it works my enduranceExcellent glooveRead more

These gloves lasted 3&1/2 yrs of solid punishment! I am an amateur boxer with a few golden gloves tournaments and I really loved using these gloves. Sure as others have noted they aren’t perfect, the inner padding started to break down after 18mos, and finally the leather began to crack after 3yrs. I took average care of them in between by conditioning the leather with the provided oil once every few months. I wash my handwraps enough that the inside of the gloves don’t smell awful. For the price they lasted about $60/yr and protected my hands as I beat up tons of fools in style. They stood up to punishment and still look old school and awesome, like Ali’s gloves from back in the day!Read more

These are a good set of gloves. The Heritage design gives them a very unique feel. There is ample and firm cushion to protect hands and wristwrap is high on the wrist foreven more protection. They are a bit pricey and the performance flaw is, since they are real leather and absorbmoisture, they do just that of the sweat of others and yours when contact is made. Theleather darkens when wet and returns to normal when allowed to dry.Overall a solid pair of gloves.Read more

My biggest regret is not returning these before the return period. I gave them a solid chance… I seriously doubt this is leather. I’ve had $50 gloves that provide better cushion. My hands always hurt after using these gloves. Save your money and purchase some Hayabusa gloves instead.Read more
